The Friends of the Schroon Lake Public Library Bookstore is open every Saturday through Labor Day, from 10 am - 2 pm in the basement of the Hudson Headwaters Health Center. Find lots of newly donated used books, puzzles, and DVD’s! All purchases fund our the Schroon Lake Library collection and programs. Cash only.
The club bar will be open at noon as well along with the beer booth!
21st Annual Swap and Wet Meet hosted by the Mohawk Hudson Chapter of the Antique Outboard Motor Club will be held again this year at the Schroon Lake Town boat launch. The event is planned for September 27, 2025 and will be held at the town boat launch in Schroon Lake, New York. Attendees come from throughout the Northeast as well as local members and the general public is welcome to attend at no cost. There is no admission fee and no fee to display/buy/sell/trade.
NYS requires all motorized vessel operators, regarless of age, to hold a boater safety certification as of January 1st, 2025.
To help ensure New York’s waterways remain safe and enjoyable, this course teaches basic boating skills and encourages common sense and courtesy to all who share the water. Topics covered include rules of the nautical road, required safety equipment, special boating related activities and many more.
Students must complete both days in order to earn their certificate.
