The Schroon-North Hudson Historical Society, Inc. documents the history of the towns of Schroon and North Hudson and serves the present and future research and educational needs of the towns' citizens and others. The Historical Society was organized to collect and to preserve the historical records and other artifacts for the Town of Schroon and the Town of North Hudson so these records and artifacts can be used for historical and other research.

Schroon Lake, NY is a quaint but happening place in the heart of the Adirondack Mountains. Our home is at the south end of the lake in a private setting, and is a classic custom Adirondack home with cathedral ceilings, an open floor plan with a magnificent great room, dining room (comfortably seats 6-10) and kitchen, all in one big space so that you can be all together. Plus it faces southwest so you get to have long days with sunsets as much as mother natures allows.

A well-established part of Schroon Lake's lodging history, Starry Night Cabins was originally built in the 1930’s by the Rawlins family and was appropriately named “Rawlins Motel.”  The property welcomed visitors under that name until shortly after the former owners purchased the property in August of 2001. The new name captures the peacefulness and tranquility of the night air and the clear, crisp night skies and bright stars the Adirondacks are famous for.
